About Laura

Hi! My name is Laura and I am a CELTA-certified bicultural language teacher and linguist (conference interpreter and transcreator). I am a native speaker of both EN and ES, and I have been helping students achieve their language goals for over 13 years. I have extensive experience working with children and teenagers, as well as with adults, and I have successfully prepared hundreds of students for all sorts of exams (Cambridge ESOL, IELTS, TOEFL, Trinity, DELE). I also design classes for professionals from different specialised fields (law, business, engineering, medicine, biotech...) that are working on getting industry-standard certificates or taking public exams.

I love teaching and I am an energetic, flexible and resourceful professional, with solid linguistic and pedagogic qualifications that have enabled me to adapt to different profiles and needs, and help my students improve, be more confident and develop a positive relationship with language acquisition.

About the lesson

I am conscientious and creative and I always adapt the materials and focus of my classes according to my students' needs, interests and goals.

I offer dynamic classes that help my students improve their general linguistic and cultural awareness, as well as develop their conversational skills, always through realistic use of language and contextual information.

I use both established methodologies and additional tools, such as games, flash cards, diagrams, real materials, etc. to create memorable and useful learning experiences.

Perfect! Laura is an excellent teacher. I really enjoyed taking classes with her. Laura is a dynamic, cheerful, and honest teacher. She works very hard.
