About Marcela
Choosing a tutor is about finding someone who not only knows the subject but knows how to transfer that knowledge effectively. My legitimacy as a tutor comes from over five years of hands-on experience helping students navigate the very same challenges you might be facing right now. I have spent years refining my ability to identify learning gaps and bridge them with clear, actionable explanations.

1. Teaching Method and Techniques I believe that learning happens when you stop being a spectator and start being the protagonist. My methodology is based on Active Learning and the Socratic Method: instead of just giving you the answers, I guide you with the right questions so you can discover the logic behind a math problem or a grammatical rule.
For Math: I use visual aids and real-world analogies to make abstract concepts tangible.
For Languages & Public Speaking: I use "Role-Playing" and "Task-Based Learning," where we practice real-life scenarios (like a job interview or a presentation) to build muscle memory.
2. A Typical Lesson Plan I like to keep my lessons structured yet flexible:
The Warm-up (5-10 min): A quick review of the previous session or a "ice-breaker" conversation to get your brain in the right language/math zone.
The Core (30-35 min): We dive into the new topic using a "Watch-Do-Succeed" flow. I demonstrate, we do it together, and then you try it on your own with my guidance.
The Wrap-up (10-15 min): A summary of what we learned, addressing any lingering doubts, and setting a small, fun challenge for the next session.
3. What Sets Me Apart What makes my tutoring different is my Peer-to-Peer Empathy. Having spent more than 5 years helping my classmates, I speak your language. I don’t use overly technical jargon that confuses you; I use simple, everyday terms. Also, being a multi-disciplinary tutor (Math, Languages, and Public Speaking) allows me to help you develop a well-rounded confidence that goes beyond just one subject.
