About Phillip
As a former Headteacher, I’ve had extensive experience designing effective timetables and fostering productive learning habits. I specialise in helping students achieve their best, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or English as an Additional Language (EAL). My teaching style is adaptive, tailored to suit each student's needs. My main passion lies in teaching Chemistry. With over 30 years of experience in high-performing UK schools, I bring a deep understanding of various curricula, including AQA, OCR, IB, and Pre-U. I pride myself on making complex concepts relatable and ensuring my teaching resonates with all levels of understanding. During the Covid pandemic, I honed my skills in online teaching, though I also have extensive classroom experience. I am more than happy to support students both online and at home. Importantly, my approach is student-centred. We’ll work at your pace and tailor a plan to your goals. I value your time and believe in working hard and stopping once you achieve success, rather than stretching lessons unnecessarily.
