About Dushan
I am passionate about helping students succeed and develop confidence in science. With experience teaching Honors Biology, Honors Chemistry, AP Biology, and AP Chemistry, I understand the challenges students face and how to help them overcome them. My goal is not only to improve grades but also to help students truly understand the material.
I believe every student can succeed when given the right guidance, support, and resources. I maintain a professional and organized learning environment, provide detailed notes and study materials through Google Classroom, and tailor my teaching approach to each student's needs. Whether a student is trying to catch up, strengthen their foundation, or excel in an advanced course, I am committed to helping them reach their academic goals.

My approach as a tutor is to build a strong foundation first before moving on to more advanced topics. When a student is struggling, I focus on identifying the root cause, whether it is gaps in previous knowledge, study habits, problem-solving skills, or confidence. By addressing those underlying issues, students are able to achieve long-term success rather than simply memorizing information.
A typical lesson includes reviewing foundational concepts, introducing new material, working through guided examples, and practicing problems together. I also provide access to a Google Classroom containing organized notes, practice materials, and resources for independent study.
What sets me apart is my experience teaching Honors Chemistry, Honors Biology, AP Chemistry, and AP Biology. I am also fortunate to be part of a network of AP Chemistry educators and tutors, giving me access to high-quality resources that help students master challenging concepts. My lessons are ideal for middle school, high school, honors, AP, and introductory college science students.
