About Marie
Hi! I'm a Biochemistry graduate student at Utah State University. I have a lot of teaching and tutoring experience. I feel at home in a lab setting, and love to teach and discuss scientific concepts more than almost anything in the world. I love the outdoors. Music is my first love and I would have pursued a music degree if I didn't love science. In my free time, I love writing (creative writing and music) and spending time with family.

I love working with students and explaining material. I understand that everyone learns differently, and I am ready to adapt to each student's learning style.
I typically try to meet a student where they're at, and use a combination of visuals, maps, and verbal communication to assure a complete understanding of the topic. I love using analogy and simplicity to get the point across.
I feel that I make a great tutor because I am empathetic and understanding with each person. I'm very adaptable; if my lesson plan isn't working, I'll re-work it until it does.
I can teach any level of biology or biochemistry from elementary to undergraduate.
