My teaching method for conceptual subjects such as maths and physics is practice through past papers and memos. Doing examples of exam questions is the only way to know if you truly understand a concept and it prepares you for what to expect in a final exam. I usually let my student work through examples or we work through something together if they do not understand. My teaching method for content subjects or topics varies depending on the learning style of the student (audio, visual, etc), however I find that the key is always repetition. An idea should be revisited several times to make sure that the concept has been properly memorized.
