About Mahdiya
Hi, I’m Mahdiya! I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Science at Monash University and have a strong academic background in Biology, Health and Human Development, and Mathematics.
I achieved an A+ in the Biology exam, received an Honor Roll distinction, and ranked first in my school for Biology. I also achieved straight A’s in Health and Human Development, including the final exam. These results reflect my strong understanding of the content as well as effective study and exam techniques.
Alongside this, I have around three years of experience tutoring younger students in math. I really enjoy helping students build confidence, especially those who may find math or science overwhelming at first.
I’m patient, approachable, and genuinely committed to helping students improve. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I aim to create a comfortable and supportive environment where students feel confident asking questions and can make steady progress.

Hi, I’m Mahdiya!
My approach to tutoring is focused on making learning clear, structured, and genuinely understandable. I don’t just help students memorize content — I break concepts down step-by-step so they actually understand what they’re doing and why. This is especially important for subjects like Biology and Math, where building strong foundations makes a huge difference.
In my lessons, I tailor everything to the student. Some students need help catching up and simplifying content, while others are aiming for top marks and want to refine exam technique. I focus a lot on practice questions, explaining how to approach different types of questions, and building confidence so students don’t feel stuck or overwhelmed.
A typical lesson runs for 60 minutes, although I’m flexible depending on what the student needs. Lessons usually include a quick review, targeted teaching of key concepts, and then applying those concepts through questions and exam-style practice.
I’m currently a Bachelor of Science student at Monash University, and I have around three years of experience tutoring younger students in math.
