About Anne Marie
I am passionate about what I teach, and that passion is the primary motivation behind teaching. Currently, I am a university biology instructor and former research technician. I also have taught in private and public schools, where I taught science and reading. My love of research led me to acquire a degree in librarianship and I was able to work as an adult reference librarian for three years. I enjoy tutoring biology and other life sciences.

Instead of trying to teach students everything we think they should know, I believe in showing students how to think about things. Hands-on practices, thinking outside the box, and consistent feedback are part of my teaching style. I like to encourage questions and emphasize the relevance of the material. I invite students to contribute to ongoing discussions and guide them to become more independent learners.
