About Tanya
I earned a B.Sc in Biological Sciences followed by an M.Sc in Human Physiology, where I developed a strong foundation in both theoretical understanding and applied biological systems. Over 11 years of teaching, I have helped students overcome confusion by organizing complex information into clear, meaningful frameworks. My teaching approach emphasizes patience, encouragement, and curiosity-driven learning. I understand that biology can feel overwhelming due to its scope, so I focus on helping students understand relationships rather than memorizing details. I create a supportive environment where questions are welcomed and exploration is encouraged. Beyond teaching, I remain engaged with biology through continuous study, academic reading, and scientific discussions. Teaching biology is rewarding to me because I see learners develop confidence, curiosity, and a deeper appreciation for the science of life.

Biology becomes truly engaging when students understand how living systems interact rather than memorizing isolated facts. My lessons focus on building conceptual understanding across cell biology, genetics, physiology, ecology, evolution, and basic biochemistry. I help learners recognize patterns, cause-and-effect relationships, and regulatory mechanisms that explain how life functions at different levels of organization.
Beginners focus on clear explanations, visual aids, and guided reasoning to build confidence with foundational topics. Intermediate learners explore organ systems, inheritance patterns, metabolic pathways, and experimental interpretation with greater depth. Advanced learners work on data analysis, applied biological reasoning, exam strategies, and scientific communication. Each lesson blends explanation, discussion, practice questions, and feedback.
Learning biology develops observation skills, logical thinking, and appreciation for complex systems. As learners progress, they gain confidence in analyzing unfamiliar biological scenarios. My goal is to help students feel empowered by biology and comfortable applying scientific reasoning both academically and in real-world contexts.
