About Owen

Hi there! I’m a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and an actively enrolled nursing student with clinical experience in both a Neuro Progressive Care Unit (Neuro PCU) and a Behavioral Health unit. My hands-on background in high-acuity and psychiatric care has given me a strong, real-world foundation that I bring into every tutoring session. As a fellow nursing student, I understand the challenges of nursing school firsthand—from mastering complex content to preparing for clinicals and exams. My goal is to help you build confidence, strengthen your understanding, and succeed in areas like fundamentals of nursing, patient care, medical terminology, exam prep (CNA/Nursing), and clinical reasoning. Whether you're just starting out or looking to sharpen your skills, I'm here to support you every step of the way with patience, encouragement, and practical insight. Let’s make nursing school a little less stressful—and a lot more successful!

About the lesson

Hi! I’m passionate about helping students truly understand the “why” behind what they’re learning—especially in biology and nursing-related subjects. As someone who’s completed courses in human pathophysiology, microbiology, general biology, anatomy and physiology I & II, chemistry, and advanced biotechnologies (including flow cytometry and lab instrumentation), I bring both academic depth and real-world understanding to each session.

On the nursing side, I’ve successfully completed med-surg and psychiatric nursing coursework, and I also have a strong background in psychology (developmental, psychopathology, statistics, and general). My experience as a CNA gives me practical insight into patient care, which I use to help connect textbook concepts to real clinical scenarios.

Whether you’re struggling to keep up, preparing for exams, or just want to feel more confident in your classes, I’m here to support you—at your pace, and in a way that makes sense to you. I believe in learning through clarity, conversation, and a no-judgment environment where questions are always welcome.
