About Fern
Precision drives my approach to teaching complex biological systems to aspiring medical professionals. I am a Doctor of Medicine candidate at Columbia Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons with 2 years of experience.
My background includes rigorous training in microbiology, cell biology, and the intricate pathways of photosynthesis and respiration. Teaching students to master lab report writing and data analysis remains a core component of my academic work. I guide learners through the nervous system, plant biology, and the fundamental mechanics of mitosis and meiosis with clarity. Instruction succeeds when we move away from rote memorization toward a deeper understanding of how biological data functions in a clinical setting. As an MD candidate, I prioritize connecting abstract cell biology concepts to the diagnostic and research frameworks used by working physicians.
