About Carolyn
I am a student attending the University of Alberta. I am currently undergoing a Bachelor of Science in both Biology and Psychology, and I plan on taking an after-degree in education immediately after graduation. I've done tutoring multiple times under smaller private companies as well as instructed swimming at the YMCA in the past. Currently, I am also an editor for my university's undergraduate journal, and therefore have experience in criticizing scholarly work.

I am an avid believer in active learning. A typical class will consist of lecture-style learning, where I will go over the most difficult concepts (often accompanied by drawn diagrams and or examples), followed by active learning questions where I will challenge students to think of applications of their knowledge. This class structure changes with education level (for example, younger students will have more active learning activities such as worksheets and Kahoot.it, whereas older students will spend more time within a lecture-style environment and more time considering practical applications such as scientific papers).
