About Maheen

Hi! My name is Maheen, and I am an International Baccalaureate (IB) student with a passion for biology, healthcare, and helping students succeed academically.

Biology is a subject that requires more than memorizing information — it requires understanding how concepts connect together. I enjoy helping students see the bigger picture behind biological processes and making challenging topics easier to understand.

I have experience tutoring students one-on-one through Future Female Scholars, where I adapted lessons to individual learning styles and helped students strengthen their academic skills. As the founder and president of my school's MedSearch Club, I have also developed my passion for science communication by creating opportunities for students interested in medicine and healthcare.

My goal as a tutor is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence. Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for assessments, or strengthening their foundation in biology, I am committed to helping them reach their academic goals.

About the lesson

My biology lessons are personalized based on each student's needs, learning style, and goals. I focus on helping students understand concepts deeply instead of relying only on memorization.

During lessons, I use clear explanations, diagrams, real-world examples, and practice questions to make biology more engaging and easier to understand. I help students break down complex topics into smaller steps while developing effective study strategies that they can use independently.
