About Rosie

I'm Rosie, a Biomedical Science graduate from the University of Birmingham. Alongside my degree, I completed an industry placement at Pfizer, where I worked in a professional scientific environment and developed strong analytical and problem solving skills, the same skills that underpin maths at GCSE and A Level.

I have a genuine passion for maths and enjoy helping students see it as something logical and achievable rather than something to be afraid of. I understand how stressful exams can feel, having gone through GCSEs and A Levels myself not long ago, and I bring that understanding into every lesson.

I take tutoring seriously and prepare properly for every session, tailoring my approach to each student's needs rather than using a one size fits all method. Parents and students can expect reliability, clear communication, and a genuinely supportive learning environment.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring focuses on building understanding from the ground up rather than just memorising formulae. I break topics down into smaller steps, work through plenty of examples together, and make sure students can explain concepts back in their own words before moving on, as this is what really shows the knowledge has stuck. I also use past papers and exam style questions regularly so students get comfortable with how topics are actually tested.

Lessons typically run for an hour, though I can adjust this depending on what works best for the student, especially closer to exams when longer or more frequent sessions can help.

I'm a Biomedical Science graduate from the University of Birmingham with a strong maths background from my degree and industry placement at Pfizer, where I regularly used data analysis and problem solving skills in a real world scientific setting.

I tutor Maths at GCSE and A Level, and I'm happy to work with students who are aiming to improve their grade, catch up after falling behind, or push for the very top marks. My goal is to make maths feel manageable and even enjoyable, not just something to get through.
