About Rowan
Welcome. I am a Biomedical Science student with A-Levels in both Biology and Mathematics — subjects I have studied deeply, from GCSE through to advanced university level. I understand the curriculum, the challenges, and exactly what it takes to succeed.
I approach teaching with professionalism, patience, and a genuine commitment to your progress. I begin by assessing your current level, identifying gaps in understanding, and setting clear, achievable goals. Every lesson is structured to build your knowledge systematically, reinforce key concepts, and develop the exam-ready skills that make the difference.
My method combines clear, accessible explanations with targeted practice, past papers, and mark-scheme analysis — ensuring you know not just the answer, but why it is correct and how to communicate it effectively. I am consistent, reliable, and fully prepared for every session. You will find me encouraging but focused: I celebrate your progress and help you stay motivated through difficult topics.
I teach GCSE Biology and Mathematics across AQA and Edexcel — covering both Foundation and Higher tiers. Whether you are working toward a specific grade, building confidence, or strengthening your knowledge in preparation for the next stage, I provide the structure and support you need.

My Approach & Teaching
I focus on clarity, confidence, and exam readiness. I start by identifying exactly what you find challenging, then build each lesson around filling those gaps and strengthening your understanding. Concepts are broken down into simple, memorable steps so you feel in control of the material.
Teaching Techniques
I combine clear explanations with examples, practice questions, and past papers. We work through mark schemes together so you understand exactly what examiners are looking for and how to earn every mark. I check understanding frequently and revisit topics until they feel straightforward.
Lesson Length
Standard lessons are 60 minutes. Shorter or longer sessions can be arranged to suit what works best for you.
