About Yamini

Hello students!

I hold a Master's degree in Biotechnology and have a strong academic and research background in Biology and Life Sciences. I am also a GAT-B qualified National Fellow, with hands-on research experience in molecular biology, genetic engineering, cancer biology, protein biochemistry, nanoparticles, and drug delivery research.

My research journey has given me the opportunity to work on diverse scientific projects and gain practical experience with advanced biological concepts and laboratory techniques. I have also gained international research exposure through my summer research internship at Michigan Technological University, USA.

Having worked in research, I understand Biology beyond textbooks and enjoy connecting theoretical concepts with real-life scientific applications. My goal as a teacher is to make complex topics simple, logical, and easy to understand rather than encouraging rote memorisation.

I believe that once students understand the “why” behind a biological process, Biology becomes much more interesting and easier to remember. Through relatable examples, clear explanations, and a concept-based approach, I aim to help students build confidence and develop a genuine interest in Biology.

About My Biology Classes

My classes focus on making Biology simple, logical, and easy to understand. With my academic background in Biotechnology and hands-on research experience, I connect textbook concepts with real-life biological examples and scientific applications wherever possible. My goal is to help students understand the “why” behind each concept instead of simply memorising facts.

Teaching Method

I use a visual and concept-based approach to simplify complex Biology topics. Lessons include clear explanations, diagrams, presentations, animations, interactive discussions, and relevant examples to make difficult concepts easier to understand and remember.

I encourage students to ask questions freely and focus on building strong conceptual clarity before moving on to exam-based practice.

Class Structure

Each class begins with a quick revision of previously covered concepts, followed by a structured explanation of the new topic. Important diagrams, processes, and key concepts are explained step by step using visual learning resources.

The lesson is followed by practice questions, active recall, and a Q&A session to identify and clarify doubts. Exam-oriented students will also practise relevant question patterns and important topics based on their syllabus.

Study Materials and Student Support

Students receive comprehensive digital notes, revision materials, and practice questions to support their learning. Regular quizzes, practice papers, and mock tests are used to track progress and identify areas that need improvement.

I provide personalised guidance and feedback based on each student's strengths, difficulties, learning pace, and academic goals.
