About Timothy

I am a Texas-born, Texas-raised musician with over 3 decades of teaching experience as a school band and orchestra teacher, and private brass instructor in Texas, New Mexico, and California. My students consistently place well in auditions. New students see a positive change within the first or second lesson.

I have played in all manner of ensembles as an adult: symphony orchestra, concert bands, big band jazz ensembles (founding director of one & trombone section leader of 2 others), a British-style brass band (cornet, euphonium, trombone & bass trombone), church praise bands (trumpet & trombone), trombone septet, and a brass quintet (as group music director).

About the lesson

You want to be a better player. I design my lessons to help you improve in the essentials of tone, tonguing, timing, tuning, trajectory, and tenacity. Lessons are flexible to help in the areas that will make the most impact.
