About Lou
I am a dedicated ESL tutor with 14 years of experience teaching high school and college students, focusing on personalised learning that fosters fluency, confidence, and academic success. I design each lesson to match the student’s goals, strengths, and learning style, combining structured grammar and vocabulary instruction with interactive speaking, writing, reading, and listening exercises.
I also incorporate real-life scenarios and practical applications to make learning meaningful and engaging. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to participate actively, ask questions, and build confidence.

My ESL teaching methodology emphasises Creativity, Communication, Compassion, and Problem-solving (C³P). Creativity is fostered through interactive storytelling, role-playing, and project-based learning that encourages students to express ideas freely and develop confidence in English.
Communication is reinforced through discussions, debates, and collaborative exercises that strengthen fluency, comprehension, and practical communication skills. Problem-solving is integrated through scenario-based exercises, real-life tasks, and analytical challenges, enabling learners to apply English skills practically while developing critical thinking. I also teach complementary subjects like reading comprehension, writing, and vocabulary enrichment to provide a holistic learning experience.
