About Hazel
With a Graduate Certificate in Vocal Coaching and over 2 years of experience, I teach singing through a focus on health, safety, and artistry. My lessons are designed to build strong technique without tension. I work with singers at all levels who want to improve endurance, control, and vocal awareness. My approach blends scientific understanding with musical expression. We cover breath management, resonance balancing, and proper vocal hygiene to create stability and clarity. I specialize in helping students overcome vocal fatigue and prevent strain through mindful exercises. My teaching includes styles like Classical, Sacred, A Cappella, and Barbershop, each with its unique demands. I’ve guided professional performers and speakers in maintaining healthy, consistent tone quality. Every lesson begins with relaxation and ends with purposeful exploration. I encourage curiosity about how the body supports the voice. Singing should feel comfortable, confident, and expressive. Together, we’ll build a foundation for singing that lasts a lifetime.

My teaching approach is centered on training both the voice and the ear for perfect harmony. I believe that confident singing starts with accurate listening. Each lesson builds ear training skills through identifying intervals, chords, and tonal centers. I help students practice matching pitches and harmonizing with others in a natural, relaxed way. Quartet singers learn how to blend seamlessly while maintaining individuality in tone. Advanced teens develop their musical awareness through challenging exercises and repertoire. My method encourages careful listening before every note is sung. I use repetition, call-and-response drills, and visual pitch aids to reinforce accuracy. My teaching also includes breath support and resonance control to ensure vocal stability. Feedback is a constant part of the learning process, helping students improve quickly and consistently. Lessons are supportive, calm, and highly interactive. Every student learns how to adjust pitch instantly and sing confidently in tune. My goal is simple—to make accurate, healthy singing a joyful habit for life.
