About Joe
Brit School taught me so much of what I know and also over 25 years of being in bands and touring across the world made me the musician I am today.
I enjoy sharing my passion and knowledge of guitar playing. I have experience teaching adults and teenagers rock, grunge, metal and pop guitar. I also enjoy teaching vocal skills so you can learn to sing and play at the same time!
I am from a musical family, my partner is a musician and primary school music specialist and my daughter is currently learning how to strum and bang things (she's two years old!).
I can teach you from my Music Studio in the garden which is heated, insulated, a proper building with all the mod cons and I am very proud to show it off to you! You can also admire nature all around you while you're learning. It's a very calm and beautiful space .

I teach electric and acoustic guitar using TAB (tablature) and basic notation if that's what you want to learn. I also teach bass guitar from beginner to intermediate level. I use Trinity Rock and Pop Grades if you wish to achieve qualifications from your lessons with me. I have a calm and kind demeanour with a good sense of humour. I teach from my brand new awesome Music Studio with private access through the garden. It's a great opportunity to learn in a calm, quiet and dedicated space surrounded by nature.
I specialise in grunge, rock, blues, metal and pop guitar music with expertise in using a looper pedal (Ed Sheeran style).
I also offer vocal coaching and I can show you how to sing in many different styles, alongside how to utilise the very best of your abilities to play guitar and sing simultaneously.
