I had the pleasure of being part of a fashion design course led by Esmée. I found her ways of teaching very inclusive and enabling. It was a great mix of teaching as well as learning from her own creative side. Due to circumstances beyond her control, the course at times required a number of changes which she proactively led and managed the students and other tutors expectations very well, and overall delivered a very unique, useful and in my opinion the best course for the school. I would highly recommend Esmée for any course she leads or is part of.

Esmée has a very cheerful approach to teaching which made the course I attended even more enjoyable! She is also very knowledgable about the industry and I have learned many great things from her.

Esmee is a wonderful tutor when I study in CSM fashion. she inspired me a lot of her style. She changes the color of her nails every day hahaha. She is so knowledgable and always give me the helpful guidance . I am really appreciate she helps me to find my way to do fashion design in the last days when I was in CSM . I started my 3d fashion journey with Central St. Martins CLO3D online course. As a beginner, I had some doubts whether this distant learning would be worth it. But to my surprise, I had Esmée as my tutor, who made sure every lesson was understandable. And provided us with valuable resources throughout the course to practice more outside the class and implement our newly acquired skill as a designer.

Over the years I have shared in several experiences of being taught and tutored by Esmee in fashion industry processes, footwear design, fashion portfolio and manufacture. Esmee is an exceptional professor with a wealth of experience and amazing contacts both within the European design industry and Central St.Martins. Esmee is especially talented at teaching textiles and footwear design as well as 3D digital processes and Clo 3D. Esmee assisted me in reaching my goals within the footwear industry and learning how to make solid connections with manufacturers and companies, her rich experiences in this industry will help to set you miles apart from other students before you graduate and I honestly could not recommend her highly enough for the skills and knowledge she can bring you in your fashion journey.

Esmèe was one of my tutors when I was studying a BA in Fashion Textiles at the University for the Creative Arts, Rochester, I found her very supportive, where she encouraged me to reach my full potential within my studies. Following my graduation Esmèe has continued to support my development, I have worked alongside her at the Camp Wildfire event delivering workshops, and we are now working in collaboration, where I am providing jewellery for Esmèe's sustainable fashion collection which is being held in Milan this September.
She supports with all aspects of inspiration and growth and I recommend her as a tutor.

I attended the Clo3D for Beginners online course at CSM with Esmeé. The lessons were not only comprehensive and well-explained but also enjoyable. She was a patient and friendly tutor. Would definitely recommend her!

Esmée is a fantastic CLO3D tutor, one I still keep in contact after my BA studies at Central Saint Martins. She was helpful with my CLO related queries at a time when I was learning and getting into digital fashion. She is knowledgeable in the software and has passion for digital learning for her students. Since then I have been a guest speaker at her creative CLO short course. Always a pleasure!

Esmée tutored me during a short course at CSM as well as during my university application process. The atmosphere was very inspiring and I made me feel accepted the way I am. Esmée gave me good critique that pushed my work further while always being patient and enthusiastic.

Esmee taught me during my time at UCA Rochester doing my Fashion Textile Print degree. I did an industry project with her where she taught us the inside scope of being a freelance textile designer, following a brief with aims to sell our designs to ASOS. I learnt commercial skills with Esmee, in an engaging way as she added fun anecdotes and personal stories to her lessons, which kept me interested and motivated to learn more each week. She also did a few print sessions in the studio, helping us switch our perspectives and practises to produce commercial prints in industry, as she is an expert in this area.

I had the privilege of being Esmee's student during the CSM Summer Fashion program, and I can wholeheartedly recommend her as a Superprof. Esmée is a very good tutor, she helped me and encouraged me a lot.
During my time at fashion folio, I learned how to research thoroughly and how to focus on colour accuracy for prints, as well as designing for garment details and technique.

I have studied three months at CSM under Esmée’s tutorship yet i learnt a lot. Through all the different projects’ steps, she always had an advice that far from being just a critic was done in order for me to produce the best. Guiding me sometimes where to look for inspiration, sharing tittles of books or any reference so that the research was rich enough. Regarding print design, Esmée always had the best and relevant words. It allowed me to learn different techniques and types of prints, really teaching me how to play with the initial design so to create a huge range of prints.
In terms of design, Esmée also taught me the basics of digital pattern making on Clo3D also in a personalized way in the extent that it was more an exchange about what i wanted to do more than a very strict course in which i just had to follow her program.
In the end i have learnt a lot and all of what i got to know thanks to Esmée has been useful to me so that i now study at IFM and still use some of the works i created when she was my tutor…
