About Tamsy
I am goal-oriented and strive to help my students reach their own goals. Inherently I am a goofball at heart and hope to make a light-hearted environment where the learner feels safe to ask their questions freely without fear of criticism or mockery and to help them understand that Math is not a subject to be feared but rather the fear comes from the darkness of unfamiliarity, by shining the light on that which was unknown I hope to help them feel the joy in Mathematics.

I tackle my math lessons with a patient mind and also try to better understand what type of student I'm interacting with, as each person is different and learns differently. I conduct my lessons in English and prefer to teach students from grade 10 and below. For my lessons I prefer to maximize time by having structured lessons based on the various math topics the learner is struggling with - be it algebra,trigonometry,functions etc. Ultimately I hope at the end the student leaves more confident,knowledgeable and laughter-filled than when we began.
