About Stela
I’ve always enjoyed helping others understand psychology and the ways it connects to everyday life. With a BSc in Psychology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health Therapies, I’m passionate about supporting students who want to deepen their understanding of the subject — whether that’s for exams, essays, or personal interest. Currently, I’m volunteering as a placement therapist, which has strengthened my communication and empathy skills — qualities I bring into my tutoring. I love creating a relaxed but focused learning space where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenges. Teaching gives me the chance to share what I’ve learned, help others grow in confidence, and make psychology feel both accessible and enjoyable.

My approach to tutoring is calm, supportive, and structured. I create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring topics they find challenging. At the same time, I encourage accountability and consistency — I like to keep sessions focused and productive. I believe in working collaboratively: we identify areas of difficulty together, break them down into manageable steps, and build confidence through clear explanations and practice. My goal is to help students feel capable, organised, and confident in applying what they learn.
