About Fhulufhelo
I am a third-year BSC student at Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University. A champion of Funda Mzanzi reading championship 2021. I am also a creative writer who writes short stories, poems and novels. I am a poet who has a few poems which are published and a book called Out of a Pit a Destiny of a Warrior is Shaped that will be published soon. Reading is just my lifestyle, I have a passion for it and I love to transfer my ability to read to the younger generation. As I am one of the best essay writers who obtain distinctions in essay writing, I believe I can be the best teacher. Knowledge is power and I am one of the vessels to pour it into the younger generation.

My lessons will provide different types of reading skills and strategies. This includes making students be aware of phonemes by giving them tasks on how to isolate phonemes, blending onset-rimes, blending phonemes, segmenting words into phonemes, adding phonemes and substituting phonemes. Fluency and vocabulary are also other vital skills that I will provide by teaching them how to be aware of punctuation, pronunciation, and how to read out loud. I will also provide lessons where I read stories for children and let them repeat after me in a form of improving their fluency. The task will be given out which familiarizes them with new words, their meanings and pronunciation. Reading with understanding will be also implemented by giving out comprehension and questions based on that comprehension. When it comes to essay writing, lessons will be provided on how to write argumentative, expository, narrative and descriptive essays. This includes how to make good research about a topic, how to use proper grammar, good sentence constructions, how to use punctuation and how to draw a mind map. Lessons about the structure of an essay and how to support your argument without contradictions will be provided. Examples of my pieces of writing will be provided to help students understand what they are really required to do. When it comes to poetry different skills will be provided, such as how to structure a poem, how to recite and how to use correct figures of speech. My lessons will be focusing on the foundation phase, intermediate and senior phase. The languages I am fluent in are English and Tshivenda.
