About Tarila

I’m a qualified and dedicated tutor with a TEFL certification and several years of experience teaching English, maths, and science to students aged 5 to 16. I’ve worked in both the UK and internationally, supporting learners from a wide range of backgrounds, including those with additional learning needs and those learning English as a second language. I create a calm, supportive environment where students feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. My lessons are well-structured, engaging, and always tailored to the learner’s individual needs and goals. I take pride in being patient, encouraging, and professional in every session. About the lesson

My tutoring approach is student-centred, supportive, and adaptable. I use a mix of guided practice, interactive activities, and real-world examples to keep lessons engaging and focused. I differentiate materials to suit each learner’s pace, needs, and learning style—especially for students who may need extra support or are learning English as a second language. Lessons typically last 45 to 60 minutes and are structured to include a warm-up, focused learning activity, and review. I also provide feedback to help learners track their progress and stay motivated. I hold a TEFL certificate and have taught English, maths, and science to children aged 5–16 in both classroom and online settings. My experience includes working in UK schools and tutoring students internationally. I also support learners with additional needs and adapt lessons to be inclusive and accessible. My lessons are ideal for primary and lower secondary students, ESL learners, or anyone needing extra support with English, maths, or science.
