About Bridget
I have over 15 years of experience teaching early years students in the US, China, and Kuwait. I hold a Master of Science in Special Education with a focus on Behavior Intervention and Support from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from The Pennsylvania State University. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in international schools and dual-immersion programs, supporting learners from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
My expertise lies in supporting early literacy, EAL/ESL learners, and struggling readers. I am trained in a multisensory, systematic literacy program accredited by the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) and IMSLEC, which allows me to provide structured and individualized instruction. While my teaching experience has focused on children, I am also eager to extend my skills to older students and adults who are looking to improve their English or reading abilities.

My teaching methodology is rooted in a multisensory and systematic approach, designed to actively engage learners and build confidence step by step. A typical lesson includes a short warm-up to spark curiosity, focused instruction with clear strategies, hands-on practice through interactive activities, and a closing review to reinforce progress.
I specialize in supporting early readers, EAL/ESL learners, and students who may struggle with literacy. My lessons often include songs, stories, games, and movement for younger learners, making each session fun and memorable while still highly structured. What sets my approach apart is the balance between evidence-based instruction and flexibility—I adapt each lesson to meet the unique needs and goals of the student.
While most of my experience is with children, I am also eager to work with older students and adults who want to strengthen their reading or English skills. The same proven strategies I use with younger learners can be tailored to more mature goals, making learning accessible and effective at any age.
