About Louis

As a vocal coach with over 12 years of experience, I focus on empowering my students to fully explore and develop their unique voices while ensuring they maintain healthy vocal habits that will last a lifetime. My teaching approach is rooted in the belief that every voice has a distinct sound and deserves to be nurtured, no matter the student's experience level. I work with students ranging from beginners to advanced singers, helping them build a strong foundation in vocal technique while also encouraging creativity and emotional connection with the music. For beginners, I emphasize the basics, including proper breath control, posture, pitch accuracy, and vocal range. These early lessons lay the groundwork for healthy vocal habits, which are essential for avoiding strain and injury. As students advance, I introduce more sophisticated techniques such as vocal resonance, dynamic control, and agility, helping them expand their vocal abilities. I encourage students to explore various genres, including pop, classical, jazz, musical theater, and more, allowing them to discover their personal style and sound. I also incorporate ear training and sight-reading to develop students' musical ear and overall musicianship. Performance coaching is a central focus of my lessons. I help students prepare for auditions, recitals, and other performances, ensuring they feel confident on stage, have strong stage presence, and can emotionally connect with their audience. Whether students are preparing for professional performances or simply want to improve their singing for personal enjoyment, I aim to help them grow into confident, versatile performers who take pride in their unique vocal abilities.

Throughout our lessons, I emphasize vocal health, teaching students proper habits to prevent strain and ensure their voice remains healthy for years to come. I work across a wide variety of genres, including pop, jazz, opera, classical, and musical theater, ensuring that each student is exposed to a range of vocal techniques and styles.
