About Ashleigh

Hey! I’m Ashleigh — a certified teacher who helps make math and science actually make sense.

My lessons are tailored to your learning style, whether you need things broken down step-by-step, explained visually, or practiced together until it clicks. No pressure, no judgment — just support and clear explanations.

A typical session is super straightforward: we go over what you’re stuck on, work through it together, and then build your confidence so you can try it on your own. I’ll also share tips for studying, staying organized, and handling tests.

I’ve worked with all kinds of students, especially those who feel lost or frustrated — so you’re not alone. My goal is to help you go from “I don’t get it” to “wait… I actually understand this.”

About the lesson

As a certified teacher with a background in kinesiology and science education, my approach to tutoring is centered on building both understanding and confidence. I believe that students learn best when they feel supported, challenged at the right level, and actively engaged in the learning process. My lessons are always tailored to each student’s unique learning style, using a variety of strategies such as real-world examples, guided practice, and clear step-by-step explanations to make complex concepts more accessible.

A typical lesson begins with a quick check-in or review to assess understanding, followed by targeted instruction based on the student’s needs. We then work through examples together, gradually building independence, and end with practice or application questions to reinforce learning. I also prioritize organization, study strategies, and test preparation skills to help students succeed beyond our sessions.

What sets me apart is my ability to connect with students and adapt my teaching to meet them where they are. With experience in both classroom teaching and one-on-one support, I understand how to differentiate instruction for a wide range of learners. I focus not only on improving grades, but on helping students feel more confident, capable, and motivated in their learning.

My lessons are ideal for students in grades 7–12, particularly in math and science including those who may be struggling, need extra support, or are looking to strengthen their skills and understanding.
