About Tudor

I have studied pure mathematics at Imperial College and Cambridge, where I consistently got 80%+ in exams. I went on to do research in algebraic geometry for my PhD at Bath, before changing careers and becoming a machine learning engineer. This gives me a broad perspective on both academia and industry, regarding quantitative STEM subjects. As such, in addition to tutoring, I can provide mentorship and support for your career. I like travelling, cooking, and calisthenics. I have also been learning Mandarin for 2 years.

About the lesson

I provide carefully planned and tailor-made lessons ranging from 1-2 hours, which could include homework. I enjoy taking complicated concepts and breaking them down for you clearly, providing a wide range of simple examples and analogies to build up understanding. This approach guarantees mastery of any topic. I have experience tutoring for a wide range of levels. I started tutoring when I was 17, when I tutored GCSE and KS3 maths and science. During my PhD, I tutored undergraduate classes of 20+ students for 3 years. I was also a counsellor at a summer school for gifted high school students from Europe, where I was responsible for 4 students, marking their daily problem set solutions and providing feedback.
