About Sabitri

I am a PhD scientist with over 15 years of experience in biological research and biotechnology. I have worked in both academic and industry settings and have a strong passion for biology and helping others understand how fascinating the subject can be.

Throughout my career, I have worked with complex biological concepts and research, and I enjoy explaining difficult ideas in a clear, logical and approachable way.

As a tutor, I am patient, supportive and approachable. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style and pace to suit the individual student. My aim is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to build their confidence and develop a genuine understanding of Biology.

I particularly enjoy helping students who feel that Biology is difficult or overwhelming and showing them that, with the right approach, it can become much more manageable and enjoyable.

About the lesson

I offer friendly, personalised 1-to-1 Biology lessons for GCSE and A-Level students, tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning style.
I have a PhD in biological sciences and over 15 years of professional research experience in biology and biotechnology. I understand that Biology can sometimes feel like a lot of information to remember, so my lessons focus on helping students genuinely understand the concepts rather than simply memorising them.
Lessons can include: • Explaining difficult topics in a clear and simple way • Working through exam questions and past papers • Developing exam technique and scientific reasoning • Identifying and addressing gaps in understanding • Building confidence in challenging topics • Creating a structured revision plan when needed
I aim to make lessons relaxed, encouraging and interactive, while still keeping students focused on making real progress. I adapt the pace and approach according to the individual student.
Whether your child needs help with a particular topic, wants to improve their exam performance, or would benefit from regular support throughout the academic year, I can tailor the lessons accordingly.
I offer lessons online and, depending on location, in person around Cambridge.
