I worked alongside and was colleagues with Chanté for a year as a member of BFSU's Foreign Teaching Department, where we taught English at the same K-12 school in Beijing. When I first started at our campus and was adjusting to the new teaching environment, she was a most encouraging, kind, caring and thoughtful mentor and support to me, as she completely took me under her wing and shared an abundance of help, reassurance, advice, teaching materials and lesson resources with me.
