About Tshiung

Hello and welcome,

I am a Malaysian educator with an international upbringing, having spent my early years in Toronto, Canada, where I was educated in both English and French in my primary and secondary years. French has since become my second language.

My academic journey later brought me back to Malaysia, where I continued my education in an international school. There, I was deeply influenced by teachers who went beyond academics to guide us to think critically, communicate clearly and grow into individuals who value fairness, empathy and justice.

Today, I bring that same philosophy into my own teaching. Whether I am working with children or adult learners, my focus is not only on achieving strong academic results, but also on building confidence, clarity of thought and a genuine love for learning. I believe that every student deserves patient guidance, thoughtful instruction and a learning space where they feel respected and supported.

About the lesson

I offer personalized English lessons designed to be both supportive and effective for learners of all ages, from young children to adults. Each lesson is carefully tailored to the individual, creating a comfortable learning space where you can grow in confidence while making clear, meaningful progress.

My approach is practical and task-based, focusing on using English with purpose. Whether a learner is working on expressing their thoughts more clearly, strengthening their writing or developing academic skills, lessons are built around real tasks that make learning engaging and relevant. This allows you to not only improve their language ability but also gain confidence in how they communicate.

Each session is one hour long and carefully structured, while remaining flexible to suit your pace and needs. I aim to create a balance between guidance and independence, so learners feel supported while also developing your own voice.

I am a CELTA-certified, native English speaker with eight years of full-time teaching experience, and I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Roehampton.
