About Ana

I am a person of varied interests, who loves to share experiences and be in contact with people. I have been teaching Brazilian language and culture for at least two years in Brighton and I am also an English teacher, certified by the University of Cambridge. Before moving, still in Brazil, I was a tutor in a dance school and I am currently involved in a project of forró classes, also in the city of Brighton. I have always been connected to teaching in some way and I am known for being very patient. I also work as a freelance photographer.

About the lesson

Hi there! My name is Ana, I'm a CELTA qualified teacher based in Brighton-UK and I'm passionate about teaching. I believe the learning experience must be enjoyable and fun, so I usually use videos, music, pop culture among other things to make sure my students learn having a good time. I also try to tailor the lessons according to students' interests and aims, having in mind each person learns in a way and face specific challenges at learning something new. I really love teaching and that makes me a patient teacher who's happy to explain in different ways, many times, until the student is confident.

Perfect! Ana is a really friendly and enthusiastic teacher. I highly recommend her lessons for everyone who is looking for a qualified teacher passionate about teaching language and who cares about her students :)

Ana's response
Lívia is a very friendly person, who is really easy to engage and speak with and any teacher would be lucky to teach her. Speaking to her about her plans and interests rekindled my own desire to study and learn new things.
I'm looking forward to starting her lessons soon.

I can definitely recommend Ana.

Ana's response
Brian is an excellent student who is always punctual and polite. Although he's got already a good level of English, he is always very interested in the lesson and keen to learn. We've been focusing mostly in vocabulary and pronunciation and already can see improvement.

Ana is a brilliant teacher or how she has taught me to say in Portuguese "um ótimo professor".

She is always coming up with new and interesting ways to get my speaking and learning new words and I even enjoy the homework she gives me.

I would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to learn Brazilian Portuguese.

Ana was my first English teacher in England and even after i moved to Dublin, she still teaches me! She has great teaching skills and unique patience to teach those who are starting the path of learning English. I always knew she had a gift for teaching, but after being my teacher, I just confirmed what I already knew. Whoever chooses Ana as a teacher will have the best and most dedicated teacher! ah! not to mention that Ana indicates good books, and great music as well, which is a bonus!

Ana is an excellent teacher! Her lessons are structured with clear objectives, but remain highly adaptable. She presents her lessons in a style that is easy to follow and understand. Ana is encouraging and appropriately challenging, with her remarkable patience guiding you to the answer.

Ana supplements her teaching with music, reading and recipes. Ana's teaching style and her great sense of humour have made my lessons highly informative, but importantly also a lot of fun.
Ana has been wonderfully flexible with me.

Highly recommended!!
