About Cecilia
Hello, I'm Cecilia, a friendly and dedicated tutor with a genuine passion for helping students unlock their academic potential. Alongside my work in medical research, I've spent over five years as a tutor with Oxbridge Applications, specialising in the NSAA, PAT, and interview preparation. I also provide ongoing support to students during their A-Level and IB years, guiding them toward their academic aspirations.
My academic journey is marked by 13 A* grades at IGCSE and a maximum score of 45-points in the IB diploma programme, where I studied Higher Level courses in mathematics, physics, and chemistry, complemented by Standard Level courses in English Literature, Italian, and Economics. Furthermore, I had the honour of graduating at the top of my class with a first-class degree in Chemical Engineering MEng from John's College, Cambridge. My academic achievements reflect my commitment to excellence, and I'm excited to share my knowledge and expertise to help you succeed.

My Approach to Tutoring:
I specialise in preparing students for applications to Oxford and Cambridge, including the NSAA (Natural Sciences Admissions Assessment), PAT (Physics Aptitude Test), and interview preparation for Natural Sciences, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. My teaching philosophy is grounded in a holistic and student-centred approach, designed to nurture critical thinking, problem-solving, and a deep understanding of the subject matter.

I believe in fostering a strong foundation in the fundamental concepts before delving into advanced topics. My teaching techniques involve a combination of interactive discussions and collaborative problem-solving. I aim to encourage the development of analytical and problem-solving skills, which are crucial for success in challenging entrance exams, interviews, and further study.
