About Leruo
Being a testament for a student who had to learn Afrikaans from scratch, but still manage to always receive distinctions throughout my schooling career, I know the importance of using the correct methods to learn and use the language. And more importantly I know that it's possible for you to get that distinction too. I believe that I am well equipped to teach the language because of the skills I've acquired during my schooling career as well as my understanding of what is expected of students for exams and assessments etc.

Upon assessing the points in the subject where the student is in need of assistance.
My teaching method is a combination of the Scaffolding approach and task-based learning. Using the Scaffolding approach, I provide guidance to students, especially at the beginning of their learning journey, can help them overcome challenges and build confidence. This can include using visual aids, simplifying instructions, and providing opportunities for repeated practice.
Task-based learning would involve students completing real-world tasks using the Afrikaans language, such as creating presentations, writing reports, or having discussions. I've found that it helps students apply their knowledge and develop practical skills for using the language.
