About Samah
I'm a 20-year-old undergraduate, hardworking, dedicated and friendly. I'm always ready to go above and beyond to help the people around me (including you hopefully!), I've achieved 9s in my GCSEs (including maths, further maths, triple science and computer science). As well as 4A* in maths, further maths, physics and computer science A-Level, whilst currently studying computer science at Cambridge! So rest assured, you're in safe hands. I strive to create a relaxed yet focused environment where you feel safe, comfortable and not worried about making mistakes! And for the high achieving, I stretch your thinking and teach you problem solving by doing. I've formally and informally tutored before, you can always text/ call me if you have any concerns or questions (about the topics or otherwise), remember I'm here to help you!

I create goals for each lesson, targeting the student's specific weaknesses (I will first ask some questions to find these). Then from 1hr - 2hrs, I teach the material whilst practising questions and actively engaging the student, giving a 5-10 minute break halfway through, as I find it's hard for students to effectively focus for so long without a break. I first explain the concept to the student then practice practice practice! Doing a range of questions to allow the student to apply their knowledge, whilst being there to help guide them through the process. After the questions, I ask the student to explain to me the concepts/ explain their methodology and way of thinking for particular questions. Then at the end of the lesson we can consolidate the information and set some more practice sheets, we can then go through those questions in the next lesson to see how much of what I taught "stuck". Of course each lesson will be tailored to the student's needs and abilities. I have taught from a range of abilities, from students I have in yr10 and 11, my siblings and fellow peers who required help, if you need to pass or if you're trying to get those high grades, these methods work great! I try to teach my students how to learn by themselves without my help, the techniques and best ways to approach questions, making them figure things out as they go without instantly telling them the answer and building those key problem-solving skills that are essential! My lessons are aimed at GCSE grade students and younger children who may be struggling. :)

Perfect! Absolutely lovely, made my daughter feel at ease. Suggested what we need to do to get a pass. Samah instantly was a hit with my daughter, smiling and welcoming and clearly knows her maths. Ava loves her lessons and she has never taken to maths so that indicates to me how lovely and knowledgeable Samah is.
