About Kathryn
Setting up a guitar feels like tuning a radio to the right frequency. We start by mapping out your specific goals for the grade exam. I offer a monthly recorded review to track your progress clearly. You will gain mastery over complex modes and theory in a practical way.
I keep the atmosphere relaxed for every working professional. My sessions rely on 13 years of playing folk and chanson. We focus on technique until it feels like second nature. Stick with me for a great experience.

Holding a BA in Music from my years of songwriting helps me explain the theory behind the strings. Honestly, I sometimes find reading tabs to be a bit dry compared to raw improvisation.
My 13 years of experience include guiding 414 students through scales, modes, and rhythm guitar. I teach power chords and maintenance with a focus on acoustic technique.
Music is about feeling the groove. My background covers everything from ear training to soloing for working professionals. I bring a structured yet loose perspective to every single chord. It remains a blast to help you build your sound.
