About Rafaela
Hi, I'm Rafaela! I am currently doing a PhD in cancer immunology at the Institute of Cancer Research. I have a Master's of Research (MRes) in Cancer Biology from Imperial College London, having graduated top of the class and a BSc in Biomedical Sciences with professional experience, from Brunel University London from which I hold a 1st-class honours degree. I am naturally from Portugal, having moved 5 years ago to complete my BSc.

As a scientist and researcher, I want to help you uncover the amazing mysteries and facts about nature. I want to shed light and share my passion for the subject. My mission is to help understand difficult topics in a clear and fun manner by sharing some advice and tricks that helped me, and find what works for you! I can give in-person sessions around Surrey and online lessons in London. Lessons can be given in both English and Portuguese (native). Further arrangements can be done and discussed. I offer an initial 30-45min session to get to know the student's difficulties and assess where I can help! I promise to always be honest about my capabilities and this initial assessment will help both me and the student to make the best fit. Price can be discussed depending if online or in person.
