Trini tutored me in creative writing as part of small study group over the course of 2 months.
I not only saw a remarkable improvement in my own work, but I was also able to understand an author's motivation and process, and I felt positively inspired to read broadly and engage with literature in a new way.

In my opinion, this is part of Trini's gift as a tutor; she puts the student's engagement with the subject first. Combined with her great skill as a communicator, she was able to take moments of uncertainty and frustration and turn them into opportunities for discovery. I left her class feeling enriched and empowered in my writing.

Lastly, she is very well organised. This course took place over the work-at-home period of lockdown, yet feedback and marking was always prompt, detailed and structured. I never felt unclear about the trajectory and objectives for the course.

During lockdown I attended around eight of Trini's creative writing workshops. They were all fantastic fun and helped improve my writing immensely. Trini is a highly motivating and enthusiastic tutor who I found very encouraging and in tune with where I needed assistance developing as writer. Trini taught a Masters Level creative writing course over three months to myself and a group of five students. Qualified to a Masters level in English literature and creative writing, she delivered incredibly engaging sessions that were organised, well-managed, inclusive, and incredibly interesting. I had a great experience learning her methods of exploring texts, creative writing strategies, writing experimentation, and cultural meaning. She provided thorough written feedback to my writing and held generous group and 1-1 sessions to discuss my work. Teaching through text, theory and discussion, I learned a lot about how I write and how I can read others’ work more sensitively. I feel I improved dramatically and gained a new and deeper appreciation for contemporary writing. Trini is an excellent guide to the material and led many engaging activities each week to learn and unpick our own writing styles and knowledge.
