About Dan

I've been studying and working in Fashion & Textiles for 7 years, and graduated from BA Fashion with print design at CSM.

I thoroughly believe that anyone can learn to make sew, regardless of age or previous experience.

I've worked with Grayson Perry, making him a tailored suit with one of my original prints, as well as having had Esme Young from the British Sewing bee as a Tutor for 3 years.

Whether you're just starting out, or are starting to look into applying for work or education I hope to offer my skills and nurture new talent

With my teaching, I hope to help people take their practice to the next level- try out a technique they've always been interested in, or beginning to alter patterns to your own liking!

About the lesson

I teach holistically, aiming to understand a students intentions in their design work, teaching them methods to help realise their sketches and ideas.

The lessons will undergo a holistic approach, aiming to understand the students goals within their fashion design journey.

I aim to get to know the student and their work, find out what inspires them and help them build on their understanding and both mechanical and technical knowledge- even if that's just threading a machine!

I live Glasgow and can offer both in person lessons at my studio space in Charing Cross, and online sessions for those further afield using a high quality webcam.
