About Melissa
As an experienced ESL tutor with over six years of experience teaching English online, I offer high-quality English classes based on innovative teaching techniques to spark kids` interest in learning and their curiosity. My passion for languages and science sets me apart from other tutors. If you are curious about how the human body works or want to improve your English skills by learning idioms, slang, and colloquial expressions to make you sound like a native, come and book my class! A typical lesson includes an introduction to the topic where students are asked to predict the lesson content and express their opinions. During the lesson, students engage in different activities to foster their speaking skills and comprehension. Teaching style and methodology are adjusted based on their level and current age. In my classes, I use a variety of props such as realia and flashcards to engage my students in conversation and motivate them to learn. By the end of each class, feedback is provided to help students understand their mistakes and improve fast.
Lessons are designed for elementary and high school students who think outside of the box and want to improve fast. The most important thing for me is to motivate my students and help them on their learning journey by providing a friendly environment where they can be relaxed and happy.
