About Fran
As well as a certified TEFL teacher, I also have a Bachelors degree in Social Work from the University of Lancaster, England.
I am a dedicated English teacher who wants to help you reach your goals whether it’s improving your fluency or studying for an exam.
Every student learns in different ways but I truly believe that the power of speaking is immeasurable and my goal is to ensure you are comfortable during class, working on improving your fluency and confidence through natural conversation.
The rules of English are important but so is that feeling you get when you are able to communicate in a way that is understood, no matter whether you make mistakes or have an accent. With that confidence of being able to converse with another English speaker and express yourself, can the accuracies of English be fully learned.

I love to meet new people and help them reach their English language goals.
I have taught face to face in the past and currently teach online.
I speak British English and grew up in England but my mother is from the Philippines and my husband is from Brazil. I have firsthand experience of the difficulties of learning a new language and the challenges that come with that, not only from my mother and husband but also from myself as a student of Brazilian Portuguese.
This drives me to create meaningful lesson plans that are focused on speaking in a natural way accompanied by formal teachings.
