About María Xia
I am a music student, but throughout my student life I have obtained several official certificates in different languages, such as C2 in English, B2 in German or C2 in Valencian. Also, I am currently studying Italian on my own just for fun. It is also worth mentioning that I have participated in numerous language immersion trips abroad to practice the language in depth; specifically, English and German. Thanks to all the experience that I have had the opportunity to live with languages, I can assure you that learning languages opens up a whole world of possibilities, and not just work. Thanks to them, I have met many people that today I call friends, I have had very enriching experiences, I have got to know cultures totally different from Spanish... In short, my experience with languages has been undoubtedly positive, and this is precisely what I would like to convey to my students, especially those who have such an aversion to English: languages are not just grammatical rules, they are the language of an entire culture.

My preferred methodology is mainly based on the most practical part of the English language, that is, "speaking" and "listening". However, I consider that the most theoretical part - vocabulary, grammar, "reading" (written comprehension) and "writing" (written expression) - is essential for optimal learning. In addition, we can prepare official exams. In short, I am totally flexible to the needs and requirements of the student.
