About Didi
I am a passionate language enthusiast who has found their true calling in teaching. Since 2015, I have been doing what I love most: connecting with people through language and culture. For me, teaching is not just a job — it is a lifelong passion. As a native Indonesian speaker who learned French as a foreign language myself, I know exactly what it feels like to start from scratch, struggle with grammar, and gradually fall in love with a new language. That experience makes me a more empathetic and understanding teacher — I have been in your shoes. I am friendly, attentive, and genuinely curious; I learn just as much from my students as they do from me. My sessions are never rigid — while we always work towards your learning objectives, we also explore French culture, customs, and everyday life along the way. I believe that language and culture are inseparable, and that the best learning happens when you are engaged, comfortable, and curious.

My lessons are tailored to each learner's goals, whether you're a complete beginner, looking for support with French as a school subject, preparing for the DELF exam, or need French for professional purposes. With 9+ years of experience and a Master's in French Language Teaching (FLE/FOS), I use a communicative, action-based approach aligned with the CEFR framework. I have taught children, teenagers, university students, and working professionals — including diplomats, business teams, and aviation personnel. Lessons are highly interactive and technology-enhanced, using a range of digital tools to keep sessions engaging and effective. Students receive a digital copy of the textbook if they prefer a structured approach, or we work with articles and authentic materials for a more relaxed, conversation-based format. Lessons are available online or in-person in Adelaide, with a minimum duration of one hour — though two hours is recommended for the most effective and immersive learning experience.
