About Lauren

I’m a certified educator with over 10 years of experience helping students grow in reading, writing, and confidence. I currently serve as an interim principal and have a background in instructional coaching, literacy intervention, and classroom teaching. I hold a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and have earned mastery-level certification in LETRS, aligning my teaching with the Science of Reading. I believe in creating supportive, structured learning environments where every student can succeed. I bring patience, consistency, and a genuine passion for helping learners thrive.

About the lesson

I use a structured, student-centered approach grounded in the Science of Reading. Lessons are personalized and typically include a quick warm-up, targeted skill practice (like decoding, fluency, or comprehension), and reflection. I'm LETRS-certified and skilled in supporting struggling readers, students with IEPs, and those needing enrichment in literature. I balance high expectations with encouragement and consistency. My sessions are ideal for elementary to middle school students who need to build confidence, close learning gaps, or explore literature more deeply. What sets me apart is my leadership experience, literacy expertise, and commitment to meeting students where they are—academically and emotionally.
