Γεια! Με λένε Βασίλη. Περιμένω να σε γνωρίσω και να μιλήσουμε στα Ελληνικά. I'm a born and bred Athenian living in London, with a BA in Greek and English Language and Literature and an MA in Classical Acting (Royal Central School of Speech and Drama). I have worked as a teacher of Greek, English and piano, as an actor, a director and a musician. I love meeting new people from all around the world and exploring common ground.

Yassou! I'm Vassilis, a born and bred Athenian living in London. I hold an MA in Classical Acting from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (2022) and a BA in Greek and English Language and Literature from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2019). I have worked as a teacher of Greek, English and piano, as an actor, a director and a musician. I love meeting new people from all around the world and exploring common ground. Key-words: Imagination & Creativity, Communication, Safe space My teaching background in primary and secondary education, both in Greece and the U.K., as well as my experience in F2F and online tutoring have led me to a deeper understanding of the learner's needs and knowledge acquisition. Depending on the student and their goals, I might be more structured and professional or more relaxed and casual in my approach. I'm always up to date with the latest technology, methods and material and love creating engaging lessons, influenced by my classical training and professional experience as an actor. I make use of a variety of techniques, activities and games in order to engage the student in what is called "experiential learning". Three key terms that describe my teaching approach are: imagination, communication and safe space. I encourage imagination, creativity and out-of-the-box thinking, all of which are necessary for the establishment of a context within which learning takes place. Communicative activities help the student gain a deeper understanding of how a language behaves in real-life situations and authentic contexts while encouraging language production. Finally, a safe space is necessary for the student to be able to explore the uncharted waters of language learning, feeling supported and confident that mistakes and failure are all vital parts of the learning process.
