About Chelsea
As a tutor, I understand that students and families need to feel confident not only in the material being taught but also in the person delivering it. I take that responsibility seriously and make professionalism and trust the foundation of every interaction. Professionalism begins with preparation. I arrive at every lesson with a clear plan tailored to the student’s needs, and I follow up with concise summaries and next steps. I set expectations early and respect each student’s time, goals, and learning style. Communication is always prompt, clear, and respectful—whether we’re scheduling lessons or working through difficult material. I establish confidence through clarity and support. I explain concepts in ways that meet students where they are, and I welcome questions at every step. When students make mistakes, I treat those moments as opportunities to deepen understanding, not failures. My goal is to create a space where learners feel safe to think aloud, take risks, and grow.

I tailor my lessons based on the each of student's learning style. With each lesson we typically start with some form of warm up or review. Then we will introduce or go over new concepts. My lessons are tailored to elementary students (Pre-K-6th grade) in all core subjects. I am certified in both elementary and special education which helps with any need for adaptation or modification.
