About Lucy
I am from the UK and have a neutral accent. I currently live in Australia.
I have a degree in Modern Languages and am TEFL certified.
I gained my teaching qualification in Madrid, Spain in 2016 where I spent a year teaching adults and children in both group and 1 to 1 classes. I taught general English at an academy for children aged from 4 - 16. I taught business English at a range of companies in Madrid, including the Bank of Spain.
I also spent some time working as an English Language Assistant at a Spanish primary school during my university studies.
I am experienced in teaching all levels and ages, from beginners to advanced.

My teaching method is focused on learning vocabulary and phrases that native English speakers use every day. I like to focus on improving fluency and confidence in English by making my classes fun and interactive! I believe that the best way to learn is to not be afraid to make mistakes and ask lots of questions!
I am happy to tailor my classes to whatever subject you would like to focus on. Just tell me in advance and I can prepare materials that are relevant to whatever you would like to learn!
I like to use a range of materials in my lessons that will help you to learn English in an everyday context. For example, videos, music, magazine articles, emails etc.
I am also happy to offer general conversation classes where we can chat about whatever you like!
