About Charlo
"Hearing the human voice find its resonance for the first time is why I teach. My journey began with an intensive study of folk traditions where I learned that singing is fundamentally an act of listening. I hold a Certificate from the Old Town School of Folk Music. Over 8 years I have coached 195 students ranging from teens preparing for exams to intermediate singers wanting to refine their genre styling.
I teach pitch control and microphone technique with a focus on vocal health and care. You will learn to manage stage fear through breath and articulation. I take pride in seeing my students perform with confidence. I genuinely believe that singing should feel as natural as speaking."

"Since we are looking for ways to make your practice more effective, we should start by breaking down your daily warm-up routine. I record these exercises for you to use at home so your vocal health stays a priority between our meetings. This ensures that the belting technique or diction work we do together carries over into your daily life.
Because my training at the Old Town School of Folk Music is rooted in oral tradition, we often use imitation to find your natural vocal color. We will manage your stage fear by building a solid foundation in breathing control and sight singing first. My 8 years of experience have shown me that a relaxed singer is always a more expressive one. We will balance your technical needs with the artistic goals you have for your pop or classical repertoire.
If you are preparing for a grade exam we will focus on specific articulation and phrasing requirements. Are you ready to hear what your voice is truly capable of doing?"
