About Taylar
Hi! I'm a passionate and dedicated history teacher with a love for storytelling, critical thinking, and helping students connect with the past in meaningful ways. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Education, and I have 2 years of experience teaching middle and high school students in both classroom and one-on-one settings. I believe history isn’t just about names and dates—it’s about understanding how people, events, and decisions have shaped the world we live in today. My teaching style is friendly, flexible, and supportive. I focus on building confidence, curiosity, and strong academic skills in every student I work with. Whether you're prepping for a big test, trying to improve your grades, or simply want to enjoy learning history more, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. Let’s make history engaging, personal, and easier to understand—together!

In my history lessons, you can expect a balance of structure, engagement, and depth. Each session is tailored to meet your needs—whether you're looking to boost your grades, prep for exams, or simply better understand the past.
I don’t just focus on memorizing dates and facts. Instead, I help students make sense of historical events, connect them to the present, and develop critical thinking skills that go beyond the classroom.
You’ll get:
Clear explanations of complex topics
Interactive activities and primary source analysis
Study strategies and writing support for essays or DBQs
A judgment-free zone to ask questions and explore ideas
Lessons aligned to your curriculum and learning goals
Whether you’re in middle school, high school, or brushing up for college-level work, my goal is to make history relevant, understandable, and even fun. Expect to leave each lesson feeling more confident and curious about the world.
